Ah, but there really WAS cake. Except Chell just didn't get to eat it. But even then, it isn't a lie, because GLaDOS didn't exactly> promise that Chell would actually get to EAT the cake. It was always "there will be cake", but she never promised "you will get to eat the cake".

So, yeah.

Fav'd even if I still sorta' like Obama. I figure it doesn't really matter because I live up here in Canada. XD

I like Obama too. Plan on voting for him again as well.

Hope is just a hard concept to sell people. I need to reword that, because people will buy hope in droves, but it's about as tangible as the cake was to Chell.

Taking it even further, if you'll indulge me a bit, I'm not saying that he didn't give us hope either. He did. Unfortunately sustaining an emotion like hopefulness is a lot tougher to do and frankly the hope lasted, literally, about as long as a birthday cake does.

TL;DR

All of that above is just political ramblings loosely tied around the idea of cake. Really my thoughts on making the poster were simple: GLaDOS would be an excellent politician and her version of hope would be cake. :)
